Those who create content in Pakistan can now use Meta Facebook Stars, a monetization feature developed by Meta, to reach new customers and expand their existing fan bases.
Pakistani online content makers will have quick and simple access to Stars’ onboarding, revenue tracking by content type, goal management, and other settings. Fans can purchase and send Stars to their favorite artists as a way to show their support Meta Facebook Reels, Facebook Live, on-demand videos, photographs, and text posts are all supported by this app.
Director of Emerging Markets for the Asia Pacific at Meta, Jordi Fornies, has stated that “helping creators to establish community and turn their interests into careers” is a major focus of Meta’s continuous commitment in Pakistan. According to Meta Facebook, “today we’re delighted to announce that Meta Facebook Stars is open to all qualifying creators in Pakistan, so more people can start earning while they expand their creativity, audience, and careers.”
Meta introduced Pakistani producers and viewers to the world of short-form, amusing video experiences and tools known as Reels earlier this year. Reels are becoming the most popular type of video uploaded on Meta platforms around the world. Every day, Meta Facebook and Instagram users spin more than 140 billion Reels.
We’re glad to see that Meta is helping out the local economy in Pakistan and providing new opportunities for content creators to make a living off of their work. Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated today during a visit to Meta’s regional office in Singapore, “We hope the Stars programme will generate new opportunities to monetize and play a part in boosting the country’s digital economy.”
Any Pakistani creator who has maintained at least 1,000 online followers over the course of the last 60 days and who meets the following eligibility criteria will begin getting Stars from their viewers.
Content creator Danish Ali of Pakistan exclaimed, “So fantastic to see Stars has started in Pakistan, providing more creators like me on Meta Facebook and Reels the ability to establish community and make money via doing what we love.” I’m looking forward to seeing creators in Pakistan use Stars to make money and strengthen relationships with their viewers as they expand their presence on Facebook, he continued.
